Buffalo Hosts Third Annual Freelance Business Week April 19- 23, 2021

| |

For the third year, Buffalo will be hosting and celebrating Freelance Business Week on a national level in conjunction with cities: Austin, Dallas, Denver,  Kansas City, Miami and Tampa from Monday, Apr. 19, through Friday, Apr. 23, 2021.

The goal of the conference for freelancers by freelancers is to celebrate and support the  freelance community in Western New York and beyond, by providing learning and networking opportunities for current and aspiring freelancers alike. This year’s theme is The Future of  Freelance – Intention. Impact. Purpose.

Sessions include speakers from the local community and across the country sharing  presentations on topics vital to helping freelancers and solopreneuers to have strong,  successful businesses. See freelancebusinessweek.com ($0 – $99) to grab your ticket and see the full lineup.

This five-day, virtual event will be accompanied by a few local, in-person events throughout the  week. In-person viewing locations include TReC, 616 Niagara Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14303,  www.TReCbyNGTI.com, UNOVA Coworking, 29 Mechanic Street, Springville, NY 14141, unovacoworking.com, The K Haus, 808 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14203 and Radius  Cowork, 1001 State St #907, Erie, PA 16501. Dates and times for in-person events and viewing  locations will be announced as confirmed. Details will be shared on social media pages.

Freelance Business Week Buffalo organizer, Coach for Aspiring Freelancers and Founder of  Convergence Coworking, Marie Domon-Pazych will be organizing this event for its third year.  Marie’s experience with Freelance Business Week has added tremendous value to the work  she’s doing within the local freelance, startup and small business community. In 2020, she  worked closely with coworking spaces across WNY to help host the event and had over 300  registrants from Buffalo in 2020 despite the pandemic.

“This year’s theme is incredibly important,” says Domon. “All Freelance Business Week Organizers agreed that we want to focus on the future rather than the past and current state of the world. It’s more important now than ever to see The Future of Freelance. We must be more  intentional, have a positive impact, and never forget our purpose.”

Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown states, “Over the course of the last year we have witnessed the growing importance of freelance businesses and gig workers to our overall economy. These entrepreneurs have become a central component of the City’s recovery and ensured that the economy was able to remain strong during this challenging year. The return of Freelance Business Week to Buffalo is a sign of our return to a more normalized economy  and is a further demonstration of the enterprising spirit that is critical to Buffalo’s success.”

Mayor Byron Brown will deliver an official proclamation on Monday, April 19, at 11:30 AM EST  declaring April 19-23, 2021 Freelance Business Week in Buffalo, NY.
